Job Context:

We are seeking a creative and dynamic Logistics Officer to oversee and manage our company’s Dhaka and Cox’s Bazar offices. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and collaborating with various stakeholders, preparing tenders, and ensuring the efficient supply of products and services. As the Logistics Officer, you will also be involved in strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers to optimize our logistics operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with different organizations and their representatives to build strong relationships.
  • Regularly communicate with stakeholders, submit company profiles, and enlist our services in relevant projects and tenders.
  • Identify and evaluate relevant tenders through online and offline sources, utilizing industry networks and personal communication.
  • Purchase tender documents and study tender datasheets and necessary clauses to prepare comprehensive tender documents.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings to understand project requirements and ensure effective bid preparation.
  • Create technical and financial documents for tender submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Review and analyze tender documents, including technical bids, specifications, price bids (BOQ), and drawings.
  • Develop equipment and manpower schedules, and work on price escalation and variation orders.
  • Perform pre-contract estimation, costing, budgeting, and project risk analysis.
  • Formulate bid strategies to maximize the chances of securing contracts.
  • Conduct site visits to assess the availability of labor, materials, and equipment for accurate costing.
  • Handle online tender submissions, ensuring all e-GP forms are properly checked and encrypted as required.
  • Accept Notice of Award (NOA) and complete necessary paperwork for contract agreement preparation.
  • Monitor contract compliance with established procedures and ensure timely signing and delivery of contracts.
  • Prepare and manage contract documentation, expressions of interest, and pre-qualification documents.
  • Oversee contract administration and manage post-contract aspects such as valuations, variations, and cost reporting.
  • Draft letters, joint venture agreements, power of attorney, and memorandums of understanding (MOUs).
  • Handle all contractual correspondences to employers, consultants, subcontractors, and engineers.
  • Monitor the tender submission process for formatting, completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Manage the bid qualification process for new opportunities.
  • Source different materials as per the requirements of awarded contracts from various suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality.

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven experience in logistics, tender preparation, and supply management in the construction or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of tender processes, contract administration, and post-contract management.
  • Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and project risk analysis is preferred.
  • Proficiency in drafting letters and contractual correspondences in both Bengali and English.

  • Strong attention to detail and compliance with established procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Fluency in English and Bangla, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for site visits and stakeholder meetings.
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • An innovative mindset to strategize and find cost-effective solutions for logistics and supply management.

Educational Requirements (Not Mandatory):

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
